The chef that coerces more judges to his side wins, but if the decision is split the winner is determined by points. They battle it out by concocting the best dishes that make use of a surprise main ingredient within one hour. While we do have a lot of cooking shows on free TV, this one stood out because of its (literally) competitive format where two highly qualified chefs compete for the title of, well, Iron Chef.
